"Big things have a gravitational pull, sucking in all sorts of 5hit" Deadmau5

Joel Zimmerman is well known for his hilarious online rants, for a good reason. From time to time he nails things point blank. Ten Walls have proved Joel's theory about the gravitational pull of the dance scene, by firing shots at the gay community that contributed massively to the creation of the dance music industry as we know it. "The Loft" was the first dance club ever, where the first DJ mixer of all times have been used. Naturally, The Loft was a gay club, so as the Paradise Garage, not to mention Larry Levan, the resident DJ of Pradise Garage, who was a pioneer of DJing and prodcuing. He was also the mentor and good friend of Frankie Knuckles (the grandfather of house). Before you start wondering about the sexual orientation of Larry, he was also homosexual.

To put it in a simple way, the disco scene had created the spark that blew up the electronic dance culture worldwide some ten years later. 30 years isn't a long time, but it's enough to make an award winning producer, who WAS playing at major festivals to say things like:

"What would you do if you realized that your 16-year-old son's browny is ripped by his boyfriend?"
"Unfortunately the people of other breed continue to do it and everyone knows it but does nothing."

The Lithuanian producer have made these comments on his personal Facebook page on a homosexuality related post. The comments were soon deleted and he tried to apologize, but by then, the social media have already put its most useful skill to work.

The following social media outrage was enormous. After being dropped from the lineup of Creamfileds and Sonar Festival, Ten Walls has cancelled all his forthcoming gigs. This might very well mean and end, or a major break (at best) in the Lithuanian producer's career. Despite the commercialization and the exponential spread of the dance music culture, it is nice to see that the community stays true to its liberal roots.

The conclusion is simple. Before spreading any kind of hate on social media or in real life, as Stevie Wonder puts it "Do yourself a favor, educate your mind".
