Why do Music Heads hate Commercial?
There are many definitions, but my favorite is the definition of Marilyn Manson, who says that art has to be a question mark. I'd add that art has to push boundaries and to do so it has to grant you a freedom of choice. What do I mean by freedom of choice? Here comes the tricky part, and most probably the only part, the core of my idea about art and its effects. I will start with the very basics to build up this idea from the ground up, in order to be as crystal as possible. We, humans start off in with a blank sheet. We have a functional brain that is perfectly useless without inputs. As we get more and more of these inputs that transform into information on the way will create our perception of the world. First we get simple ones, like breasts mean food, Lego Duplo is fun and if we kick the wall our legs will hurt and so on. Later, just like a good MMORPG, everything gets harder. The inputs will get more and more complicated, slowly but surely creating what Reggie Watt calls a...

Hate on Genres
Why do we hate certain sounds that are loved by others and vice versa? What is the definition of taste? How do music heads approach music and how do average non-music people approach music? These are just a couple of questions that were troubling my mind lately and they are just a bit too much to be answered in one article, but I'll try. Now or never. There is a certain type of music that should be considered as an act of domestic violenceThe music that one likes or at least listens to has a strong relation with the individuals' place in the cultural web of the society. No matter how we look at society, a certain cluster of people that is selected by geographical location is made up of smaller clusters of subcultures. These subcultures divide people based on their financial wealth, looks, intelligence, religion, nationality and so on and so for. A person lives in a matrix that is drawn upon him or her by this mixture of values that originate from the subcultures of which she or he...

Mr. Goju
Electronic music and mostly electronic dance music which rules the majority of parties is mostly about banging you hard. Which is good and I like to be banged as well. The problem kicks in when it's all about the banging. Sometimes I feel a desperate need to hear more organic like sounds so I can rather dance than rave. Raving is a huge part of my life, but I guess we all know that even the finest of foods can become a nightmare if you get nothing else to eat. Sometimes I feel a desperate need to hear more organic like sounds so I can rather dance than rave From time to time I feel like I'm sucked in by that raging electronic vortex generated around the dance scene. Which has evolved because of a complex phenomenon generated by both the Dj's and their crowds. So Dj's shouldn't just play electronic music, just because of Djing is related to electronic gadgets. Dj's should play any kind of music that matches their perception of good music and their crowd is enjoying it as well. This...

Slighter - Science of Noise
"Science of Noise" is one of the links that connects the listener to the sounds of the unique, untouched by business universe. The album takes the listeners for a ride of twelve tracks. The first half of the album is there to calm the disturbed consciousness by escaping the lights of those messy constantly flashing worlds. It's so peaceful and sweet that if you're tired while listening to it you will fall asleep instantly. The first time when I was listening to it and writing about it I was instantly sent into the dream world, literally. I wanted to write, but ultimately the music was writing my dreams. So I was trolled by the music. Music – Me 1-0. connects the listener to the unmapped universe of sounds With no doubt "Above Ground" was the one track that knocked me out. Even now, after ten hours of sleep I find it hard to resist the temptation to close my eyes and to wander off just to fall asleep again. And then "Pathways" grabs you with the sound of magic. As soon as you open...
